Afternoon tea and tea etiquette lesson at Fortnum & Mason

Unbreakable English traditions are one of the most compelling reasons to visit the UK. Some traditions have long lost their relevance and to an inexperienced tourist seem more like a theater. And there are those that have passed through the centuries and are still part of everyday life. As the English would say, these traditions are “very very British”.

English tea drinking is one of the few traditions that are relevant to this day. But before you visit one of the many different in price and content English tea ceremonies, it is better to know more about it. Food is always more interesting, valuable and even tastier if you know its historical “subtext”.

I gave a tea etiquette lesson and a tea ceremony for the women from the London Club in one of the most iconic places in London – the tea salon, which was opened for the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II.
