This summer, my love affair with Bessarabia happened. The place where in hot stoves small fragile women with wrinkles from smiles bake twirls in the shape of the sun. After all, it is the sun that makes this region so rich and generous. Unique soil, rare climate, and a lot of sunny days during a year, rich history, mixture of cultures and culinary traditions make Ukrainian Bessarabia a unique gastronomic region of Europe. The “conservation” of traditions, which has developed due to the history of this region, gives us the opportunity to know the taste of food and drinks that has not changed much over the past 200 years.
